Purely Epic, The name speaks to me, it's pure genius :P
Anyway, brilliant song, I loved til' the end because it varied and it was epicsm from beginning to end.
The drums were quite good and very intersting but the crash cymbals were a slight bit overused and it got boring,
The drums all in all were spectacular, gr8 job.
Now the melodies, pure genius, very original and epic, it kinda reminds me of Phantom of the Opera at some parts for some particalr reason I cxant figure out what =D
anyway, nice job.
Credit me on the name :P

"Purely Epic, The name speaks to me, it's pure genius :P"
I hope that 'it' is referring to the song, not the name xP. Haha, in all seriousness, thanks for the name. I credited you!
"Anyway, brilliant song, I loved til' the end because it varied and it was epicsm from beginning to end."
Epicism is important, young one :D.
"The drums were quite good and very intersting but the crash cymbals were a slight bit overused and it got boring,"
Let me take this opportunity to blame that on Darklight. He wanted me to put all those crash cymbals in xD.
"The drums all in all were spectacular, gr8 job."
Thank you!
"Now the melodies, pure genius, very original and epic, it kinda reminds me of Phantom of the Opera at some parts for some particalr reason I cxant figure out what =D"
Phantom of the Opera, Requiem for a Dream, what next xD.
"anyway, nice job."
Thanks.
"Credit me on the name :P"

Wow, this is amazing, you never cease to amaze me... :O
When it started I imagined it as a bland song but then the main instruments came and the 8-bit style drums, truly amazing, Wonderful Job :D
Actually gave me a headache......
The strings weren't bad but you're overdoing the whole string thing.......
The percussion wasn't bad either, but It also could use a little work.
Not my fave though......
>DJ<
At first I thought, this was just an amzing epical song with strings an' stuff, your usual, long story short.
First of all the strings were heroic, epical and what-not, the low and high, both combining to ligh, or how :P
The melody was very good, I enjoyed listening to it throughout the whole song because it's very catchy.
The drums, amazing, the percussion choice was brilliant, now those are patterns!!!
The patterns were good because as far as I can hear, they were not generic, because generics suck :P
The brass was excellent because it fit in with the whole hero theme but still stayed subtle although rockin out.
The melodies of the brass were also quite good, which is.....good :P
The techno.......
The bass was amazing, it was very cool and actually BLENDED with the song.
The only problem was that the bass was a bt distorted.....
Then came in the sqaure solo, bassline square i think.........
Anyway, all in all this was very good, I cannot believe this, this must have taken a lot of effort and thinkin'

P..S you might have noticed I'm on a mission to review and critique all of your songs, if you could return the favour, I wouldn't say no :P
Thx
"At first I thought, this was just an amzing epical song with strings an' stuff, your usual, long story short."
So epic is the usual with me? Yay :D.
"First of all the strings were heroic, epical and what-not, the low and high, both combining to ligh, or how :P"
You lost me at combining.
"The melody was very good, I enjoyed listening to it throughout the whole song because it's very catchy."
The melody is very simple, but seems to work I suppose ^^. Thanks.
"The drums, amazing, the percussion choice was brilliant, now those are patterns!!!"
Percussion was alright IMO, but the kick can be bassier and more 'whoa'-ish.
"The patterns were good because as far as I can hear, they were not generic, because generics suck :P"
It's weird. It's my first attempt at making generic techno drums and yet nobody calls them generic. How nice :D.
"The brass was excellent because it fit in with the whole hero theme but still stayed subtle although rockin out."
I love brass :3.
"The melodies of the brass were also quite good, which is.....good :P"
You already told me my melodis were good, but whatever, the more compliments the better, lol.
"The techno......."
Yes, the techno :3.
"The bass was amazing, it was very cool and actually BLENDED with the song."
Thank you ^^. I never actually thought I could actually pull of putting a rough saw wave along with orchestral instruments, but heck, looks like I need a self-esteem boost.
"The only problem was that the bass was a bt distorted....."
It can't be distorted man. I added no distortion, and it's simply a bunch of raw and slightly detuned saw waves. The whole song, on the other hand, is distorted. Working on it.
"Then came in the sqaure solo, bassline square i think........."
It's not a square, I forgot what I did to make it...
"Anyway, all in all this was very good, I cannot believe this, this must have taken a lot of effort and thinkin'"
To be honest, this came rather naturally to me. I was surprised and while I was doing it, I was thinking 'whoa, how am I doing this'.
"P..S you might have noticed I'm on a mission to review and critique all of your songs, if you could return the favour, I wouldn't say no :P"
Perhaps I might consider thinking about it, maybe :P.
Thanks for all the reviews and good luck on your mission xD.
You actually made presets rock, nice job, i know it takes work, believe me......
I won't comment on the quality since they're presets but you could have chosen a better piano piano and kick sample, but it's still good.
Good luck then :P
>Deejay<
"You actually made presets rock, nice job, i know it takes work, believe me......"
Well obviously xP.
"I won't comment on the quality since they're presets but you could have chosen a better piano piano and kick sample, but it's still good."
Sorry, I couldn't choose a better piano piano sample, and neither a piano sample. FL Keys was all FL had to offer. If the piano didn't have soundgoodizer on it, it'd sound even worse, so yeah... As for the kick, yeah I could have chosen a better sample, but slicing preset drum beats totally crossed my mind.
"Good luck then :P"
Nah, I lost. xKore won xP.
Oh well, I wasn't planning on winning as much as I was planning on contributing to the competition anyway xD.
Thanks for the review.
Man, you're reviewing a lot of my submissions aren'tcha? O.o.
This is a very nice song, you really are getting better, these are very unique, although, you could change the style a bit, it's gettin' kinda routine, try techno or trance again, that would rock :D
The instruments were fabolous, I loved the way they all blend in with the whole 'happy' vibe, which brings me to a bad point, the name is kinda off-tune, if i may, this song IMO represent hapiness and triumph, not eager to succeed or, 'almost there',.
The percussion, disappointed me harshly, they were incredibly dry, which sucked. And they were a bit not fitting to the song.
Overall not bad, but needs work.
Nice job.
>Deejay<
"This is a very nice song, you really are getting better, these are very unique,"
I don't do generic songs :3.
"although, you could change the style a bit, it's gettin' kinda routine, try techno or trance again, that would rock :D"
Sorry, no techno and trance for a while. I know basically 90% of all NG members enjoy the 'unce unce' but I don't and I make what I want >:3. Although Against the Clock is a mix of Classical and Techno, so that way everyone wins :D.
"The instruments were fabolous, I loved the way they all blend in with the whole 'happy' vibe, which brings me to a bad point, the name is kinda off-tune, if i may, this song IMO represent hapiness and triumph, not eager to succeed or, 'almost there',."
Firstly, thanks, the instruments are East/West, as you know. Piano and strings fit so well together. Secondly, a name cannot be 'off-tune' xP. I don't know, for happiness and triumph I'd have more brass in here and it should be more powerful. I sort of think of a 'don't worry, not everything is lost' feel when I hear this song. Well besides, if you don't like the name, that doesn't mean you can't like the song.
"The percussion, disappointed me harshly, they were incredibly dry, which sucked."
They're dry on purpose, but yes, I have to admit they do suck...
"And they were a bit not fitting to the song."
True...
"Overall not bad, but needs work.
Nice job."
Well that's what I like to hear with my WiP's. Thanks for the review!
It's not your best, that's for sure.
First of all, I'm sorry to say, The samples were all quite sucky, they sounded horrible, very very sorry though.
The melodies were OK but they could use some work.
All in all, the sucks arse, and I KNOW you did this in a hurry, I didn't have to read the review......
So spare us the laughs, do your usual good-ocity songs, not suck balls ones ;)
>Deejay<
Hm, the samples aren't supposed to be that bad. It's Virtual Guitarist, although I agree that Virtual Guitarist isn't that good for electric guitars. It does much better with Acoustic Guitars.
Melodies were horrible, just 3 notes used for the whole song :C.
Well if you don't like it why'd you give me a 10? :P.
This is an amzing piece of work, I love it from beginning to end, not very much though :P
First of all the opening was very interesting, The shaker effect was unique and interesting and didn't make it repetetive, Although the shaker sample was quite bland IMO.
The piano, the pinnacle of the whole song, fabolous, amazing, spectacular, actually too good for words, It was amazing, The originality of it was simply the best =P
The low notes and high notes both contrasted and Made an amzing effect, I guess opposites work well in a song :P:P:P:P:P:P
The choir, woah, very nice, East/West Rocks
Long story short, very nice, but credit me on teh name. :P
>Deejay<
"This is an amzing piece of work, I love it from beginning to end, not very much though :P"
Yeah...
"First of all the opening was very interesting, The shaker effect was unique and interesting and didn't make it repetetive, Although the shaker sample was quite bland IMO."
Hmm, OK then. I have loads of shakers anyway, I'm sure I'll find a good one :D.
"The piano, the pinnacle of the whole song, fabolous, amazing, spectacular, actually too good for words, It was amazing, The originality of it was simply the best =P"
These compliments make me feel warm'n'fuzzeh.
"The low notes and high notes both contrasted and Made an amzing effect, I guess opposites work well in a song :P:P:P:P:P:P"
The cool contrast was unintentional since I did this in a rush :P.
"The choir, woah, very nice, East/West Rocks"
Yeah, East/West does, but the choirs in the Silver version of EW Symphonic Orchestra aren't really too special. I think if I had to choose between the choirs of East/West Symphonic Orchestra or Magnus Choir, I'd choose Magnus Choir. Although if I had to choose between Magnus Choir and East/West Symphonic Choirs, well, that's a different story :D.
"Long story short, very nice, but credit me on teh name. :P"
Very interesting, it starts with an ambient feel then it turns into a somewhat hardstyle genre, rather than dance.
The percussion first all was very good, it was unique, especially the drums themselves, the patterns weren't bad but they were generic, from what i heard.
The only problem i have with the drums is the generic issue but the rest was good.
The melody, hhm......... It had a good feel to it but it was too rough.
I gave you a 7, but a 5 on the rating thing.
It starts too quietly for the style this is.
Not bad, work on it.
>Deejay<
This song is inspirational, it has that BH feel and sounds awesome, I like the name too :P
So, the melody is cool, I liked the way the background synths complimented the main melody and the way that the piano sounds awesome with the synths.
The synths were spectacular, they were very original and they varied which kept the song interesting and not just 5 and a half minutes of the same synth.\
Then enters The pan flute, which is amazing, it's in high notes but it's not annoying or ear-piercing in any way which is pretty good, actually rockin', as i would usually say :P
As I said before, the synths varied, whilst the percussion wasn't the tad bit repetetive, The kick was generic but i don't blame ya, it's hard to make a non generic kick pattern and it sounding good, but you pulled it off with the rest of the percussion, it was great how the techno-ish and trance-ish instruments fit in with the whole, 'really up hi-ghhhhh, woaaah hit a pigeon, very high feeling( in the sky i mean) and it stayed really cool.
Mentioning genres, one thing i don't understand is the Latin placement in genres, that was kinda strange, i didnt understand.
Anyway, great job, I bow down to the king of Trance and Dance :_)
