Sweet!

Purely amazing, It starts off with a climax and gets your attention quickly.
The elegance of it at the beginning is very nice and it keeps you on your feet, dazzled, but then what happens? Huh? You go and make a brilliant dance song of it =D
It has a melody to dance to and the drums are wonderdul, as usual :)
Then comes the piano, the calmness of piano is inspiring but it then slowly turns into a dance track again, not complaining at all =D
Well, gr8 job, Keep makin tracks like these and You'll be #1

Thanks so much dude!!!
Im loving your stuff too!

WOW, AMAZING

This is one hell of a Loop, I can't believe you can actually make this, you HAVE to show me your awesomeness, I might take part in the NGADM too but I wish I dont get paired with you, You'll kill me :P
Nice Loop anyway, filthy bass, which sounds very very cool, I haven't seen the Bourne movies but this makes me wanna see 'em :P
The drums are also very cool, nice job.

mr-jazzman responds:

Dude, the Bourne Movies are ESSENTIAL watching! If you love espionage and action combined, then you've gotta watch em. Plus, the music's interesting, a mix of DnB and classical. So, it's been a sort of inspiration for me in a way lol. Thank you man, and hopefully you won't get paired with me right off the bat! =P You'll be amazed how much you'll improve in this competition by the end of it. ;)

Brilliant!!!!!!!!!

This is pure art! I loved it from beginning to end because it's very catchy and here are the other reasons :

Melodies : Very catchy and original, They really fit in with the whole Robot feel. They are not generic and they're also jazzy and funkeh, especially the jazzy parts, which were very cool.!

Instruments : They varied a lot and sounded also very robot-y, I heard squares brass, They both varied but joined in harmony to create a competition winning song =D I suppose they were z3ta+ or Sytrus but it was SOOOOOO COOOOLLLLL!!!

Drum Beats : Very funkeh also, while they were not generic, they were also amazingly unique, I'm not kidding. They were also a bit low in volume but that's ok, any louder would have drowned out the other stuffs ao that'll have to do =D

Drums Themselves : Quite cool, very nice, what else can I say? Apart from this : Not only were these drums very clear and I liked the effects, which I will mention now ;

Effects ; Very nice, very much effects were added from what i can hear.
The filter was very nice, it's cool to open a song, or in any part of a song for that matter =D
The glitches and delay were very cool, I loved the glitch a lot. I'm not going to comment on reverb because everything sounds extremely dry without it, but still good job fro and steph!

Various Parts : Overall the song was very unique, it varied in such a way that I could hear it 700 times and not get bored.
The main part was very cool, also original, mind-boggling, brilliant, funkeh, all that jazz.
The ambient-y part was very nice, it sounded calming but at the same time dance-able.
The jazzeh part.........LOVED ITT!!!!!!! It was so cool!!! I dont know how the hell u could incorporate jazz with funkeh robot stuffs.
Intro and Outtro were very niced also.

The Lyrics were very nice and they were quite clear but when you come to singing you went a bit flat, sorry :(

Overall : Original, Humorous, Professionally made and Well-fitting of first place =D

Step responds:

Dear God, that's one hell of a long review. Thanks!!

"This is pure art! I loved it from beginning to end because it's very catchy and here are the other reasons :"

Thank you :3.

"Melodies : Very catchy and original, They really fit in with the whole Robot feel. They are not generic and they're also jazzy and funkeh, especially the jazzy parts, which were very cool.!"

Thanks, really glad you liked the melodies! I definitely agree that they're quite catchy, I can't get them out of my head, same as Fro :P. I'll have to thank Darklight for making the jazz melody.

"Instruments : They varied a lot and sounded also very robot-y, I heard squares brass, They both varied but joined in harmony to create a competition winning song =D I suppose they were z3ta+ or Sytrus but it was SOOOOOO COOOOLLLLL!!!"

Lol thanks. They're all Sytrus and Hypersonic :3.

"Drum Beats : Very funkeh also, while they were not generic, they were also amazingly unique, I'm not kidding. They were also a bit low in volume but that's ok, any louder would have drowned out the other stuffs ao that'll have to do =D"

Awesome, glad you liked the drums. We definitely tried to make sure they're not generic, which is pretty hard to do nowadays...

"Drums Themselves : Quite cool, very nice, what else can I say? Apart from this : Not only were these drums very clear and I liked the effects, which I will mention now ;"

Your massive amount of compliments are very much appreciated :D.

"Effects ; Very nice, very much effects were added from what i can hear."

Yup, around 30 of them or so. Not to mention that this track has 82 patterns.

"The filter was very nice, it's cool to open a song, or in any part of a song for that matter =D"

Thank you! If you mean the sweep, then I managed to fool you into thinking it was filtered noise :P. It's actually a hi-hat sample with a massive and quick glissando from the low notes to the high notes. Produces a cool effect.

"The glitches and delay were very cool, I loved the glitch a lot. I'm not going to comment on reverb because everything sounds extremely dry without it, but still good job fro and steph!"

And Darklight. He helped. A bit :P.

I'm happy you enjoyed the glitch, it's my first attempt.

"Various Parts : Overall the song was very unique, it varied in such a way that I could hear it 700 times and not get bored."

Exactly what we were going for! :D.

"The main part was very cool, also original, mind-boggling, brilliant, funkeh, all that jazz."

Cool.

"The ambient-y part was very nice, it sounded calming but at the same time dance-able."

Well, that's quite a compliment xD.

"The jazzeh part.........LOVED ITT!!!!!!! It was so cool!!! I dont know how the hell u could incorporate jazz with funkeh robot stuffs."

Wow, thanks! The jazz part is my favourite part :3.

"Intro and Outtro were very niced also."

Great!

"The Lyrics were very nice and they were quite clear but when you come to singing you went a bit flat, sorry :("

Hey, it's not like we have professional singers or something :P.

"Overall : Original, Humorous, Professionally made and Well-fitting of first place =D"

Well, I really hope it does well in the competition, I worked like hell on it...

Of course it needs work, I was on a deadline lol
The vocals are the one thing I had to build around
I changed it as much as I could, but vocoding someone's shower singing can only get so good
Your visit's much appreciated d00d

nbnb :D

This song is quite good, but no offence, its not bst ever worthy, im very sorry to say.
Its a nice song but it needs a lot of work, transitions are pretty thrashy and it was very repetetive

Cuzone responds:

I don't take offence because you are a DJ. A 6 year old can put records on a turntable and press play. Call me back when you become a musician.

Holy Crapcicles

This is my fave song in all of newgrounds a the moment, you really have outdone yourself my friend, brilliant song.
It starts off elegantly and was beautiful to hear slowly and enjoyed it, the synth was brilliant and the melody wasn't too bad either xD
Then the other instrument was very nice, it's a music box if i'm not mistaken but we, as long as it rocks.
The drums in the intro were a bit rushed for the intro itslef but that is just a minor flaw in this beautiful masterpiece.
AAAANNNDDD BOOOOMMM, There comes the bass, wonderful, it is very unique and the piano stayed there which kept it both epic and beautiful, and scary in some points, that bass is veryy nicee broo :)
The drums in the whole songs were very dubsteppy and fit in with everything, as i said before, they were epic, but stayed elegant.
The effects were very nice, especialy the panning, it was well-done.
The solo and the almost end was very nice, it was subtle which doesnt fit in with the song at the beggining but then come that beautiful transition :D
All in all, beautiful song :D

mr-jazzman responds:

Hey, thank you for the kind words, being able to see deeper into the song and comment on each and every part (including its flaws...some of which I never even took into consideration =P)!

Credit me for the Name Damn You:P

Purely Epic, The name speaks to me, it's pure genius :P
Anyway, brilliant song, I loved til' the end because it varied and it was epicsm from beginning to end.
The drums were quite good and very intersting but the crash cymbals were a slight bit overused and it got boring,
The drums all in all were spectacular, gr8 job.
Now the melodies, pure genius, very original and epic, it kinda reminds me of Phantom of the Opera at some parts for some particalr reason I cxant figure out what =D
anyway, nice job.
Credit me on the name :P

Raven-Guard responds:

"Purely Epic, The name speaks to me, it's pure genius :P"

I hope that 'it' is referring to the song, not the name xP. Haha, in all seriousness, thanks for the name. I credited you!

"Anyway, brilliant song, I loved til' the end because it varied and it was epicsm from beginning to end."

Epicism is important, young one :D.

"The drums were quite good and very intersting but the crash cymbals were a slight bit overused and it got boring,"

Let me take this opportunity to blame that on Darklight. He wanted me to put all those crash cymbals in xD.

"The drums all in all were spectacular, gr8 job."

Thank you!

"Now the melodies, pure genius, very original and epic, it kinda reminds me of Phantom of the Opera at some parts for some particalr reason I cxant figure out what =D"

Phantom of the Opera, Requiem for a Dream, what next xD.

"anyway, nice job."

Thanks.

"Credit me on the name :P"

I did.

Not my fave

Actually gave me a headache......
The strings weren't bad but you're overdoing the whole string thing.......
The percussion wasn't bad either, but It also could use a little work.
Not my fave though......
>DJ<

Step responds:

OK man, this comment is pretty vague. What do you mean by 'the whole string thing'. I only had strings in the background :S.

Also, if you say that the percussion wasn't bad, you could at least tell me how to fix it, in your opinion.

Well thanks for the review anyway.

Woah!

At first I thought, this was just an amzing epical song with strings an' stuff, your usual, long story short.
First of all the strings were heroic, epical and what-not, the low and high, both combining to ligh, or how :P
The melody was very good, I enjoyed listening to it throughout the whole song because it's very catchy.
The drums, amazing, the percussion choice was brilliant, now those are patterns!!!
The patterns were good because as far as I can hear, they were not generic, because generics suck :P
The brass was excellent because it fit in with the whole hero theme but still stayed subtle although rockin out.
The melodies of the brass were also quite good, which is.....good :P
The techno.......
The bass was amazing, it was very cool and actually BLENDED with the song.
The only problem was that the bass was a bt distorted.....
Then came in the sqaure solo, bassline square i think.........
Anyway, all in all this was very good, I cannot believe this, this must have taken a lot of effort and thinkin'

P..S you might have noticed I'm on a mission to review and critique all of your songs, if you could return the favour, I wouldn't say no :P
Thx

Step responds:

"At first I thought, this was just an amzing epical song with strings an' stuff, your usual, long story short."

So epic is the usual with me? Yay :D.

"First of all the strings were heroic, epical and what-not, the low and high, both combining to ligh, or how :P"

You lost me at combining.

"The melody was very good, I enjoyed listening to it throughout the whole song because it's very catchy."

The melody is very simple, but seems to work I suppose ^^. Thanks.

"The drums, amazing, the percussion choice was brilliant, now those are patterns!!!"

Percussion was alright IMO, but the kick can be bassier and more 'whoa'-ish.

"The patterns were good because as far as I can hear, they were not generic, because generics suck :P"

It's weird. It's my first attempt at making generic techno drums and yet nobody calls them generic. How nice :D.

"The brass was excellent because it fit in with the whole hero theme but still stayed subtle although rockin out."

I love brass :3.

"The melodies of the brass were also quite good, which is.....good :P"

You already told me my melodis were good, but whatever, the more compliments the better, lol.

"The techno......."

Yes, the techno :3.

"The bass was amazing, it was very cool and actually BLENDED with the song."

Thank you ^^. I never actually thought I could actually pull of putting a rough saw wave along with orchestral instruments, but heck, looks like I need a self-esteem boost.

"The only problem was that the bass was a bt distorted....."

It can't be distorted man. I added no distortion, and it's simply a bunch of raw and slightly detuned saw waves. The whole song, on the other hand, is distorted. Working on it.

"Then came in the sqaure solo, bassline square i think........."

It's not a square, I forgot what I did to make it...

"Anyway, all in all this was very good, I cannot believe this, this must have taken a lot of effort and thinkin'"

To be honest, this came rather naturally to me. I was surprised and while I was doing it, I was thinking 'whoa, how am I doing this'.

"P..S you might have noticed I'm on a mission to review and critique all of your songs, if you could return the favour, I wouldn't say no :P"

Perhaps I might consider thinking about it, maybe :P.

Thanks for all the reviews and good luck on your mission xD.

Huh....

You actually made presets rock, nice job, i know it takes work, believe me......
I won't comment on the quality since they're presets but you could have chosen a better piano piano and kick sample, but it's still good.
Good luck then :P
>Deejay<

Step responds:

"You actually made presets rock, nice job, i know it takes work, believe me......"

Well obviously xP.

"I won't comment on the quality since they're presets but you could have chosen a better piano piano and kick sample, but it's still good."

Sorry, I couldn't choose a better piano piano sample, and neither a piano sample. FL Keys was all FL had to offer. If the piano didn't have soundgoodizer on it, it'd sound even worse, so yeah... As for the kick, yeah I could have chosen a better sample, but slicing preset drum beats totally crossed my mind.

"Good luck then :P"

Nah, I lost. xKore won xP.

Oh well, I wasn't planning on winning as much as I was planning on contributing to the competition anyway xD.

Thanks for the review.

Man, you're reviewing a lot of my submissions aren'tcha? O.o.
