Beautiful

This is a very nice song, you really are getting better, these are very unique, although, you could change the style a bit, it's gettin' kinda routine, try techno or trance again, that would rock :D
The instruments were fabolous, I loved the way they all blend in with the whole 'happy' vibe, which brings me to a bad point, the name is kinda off-tune, if i may, this song IMO represent hapiness and triumph, not eager to succeed or, 'almost there',.
The percussion, disappointed me harshly, they were incredibly dry, which sucked. And they were a bit not fitting to the song.
Overall not bad, but needs work.
Nice job.

I don't do generic songs :3.

"although, you could change the style a bit, it's gettin' kinda routine, try techno or trance again, that would rock :D"

Sorry, no techno and trance for a while. I know basically 90% of all NG members enjoy the 'unce unce' but I don't and I make what I want >:3. Although Against the Clock is a mix of Classical and Techno, so that way everyone wins :D.

Firstly, thanks, the instruments are East/West, as you know. Piano and strings fit so well together. Secondly, a name cannot be 'off-tune' xP. I don't know, for happiness and triumph I'd have more brass in here and it should be more powerful. I sort of think of a 'don't worry, not everything is lost' feel when I hear this song. Well besides, if you don't like the name, that doesn't mean you can't like the song.

"The percussion, disappointed me harshly, they were incredibly dry, which sucked."

They're dry on purpose, but yes, I have to admit they do suck...

"And they were a bit not fitting to the song."

True...

"Overall not bad, but needs work.

Well that's what I like to hear with my WiP's. Thanks for the review!

Well......

It's not your best, that's for sure.
First of all, I'm sorry to say, The samples were all quite sucky, they sounded horrible, very very sorry though.
The melodies were OK but they could use some work.
All in all, the sucks arse, and I KNOW you did this in a hurry, I didn't have to read the review......
So spare us the laughs, do your usual good-ocity songs, not suck balls ones ;)
>Deejay<

Step responds:

Hm, the samples aren't supposed to be that bad. It's Virtual Guitarist, although I agree that Virtual Guitarist isn't that good for electric guitars. It does much better with Acoustic Guitars.

Melodies were horrible, just 3 notes used for the whole song :C.

Well if you don't like it why'd you give me a 10? :P.

Thanks for the review!

You forgot to credit me for the name!!!

This is an amzing piece of work, I love it from beginning to end, not very much though :P
First of all the opening was very interesting, The shaker effect was unique and interesting and didn't make it repetetive, Although the shaker sample was quite bland IMO.
The piano, the pinnacle of the whole song, fabolous, amazing, spectacular, actually too good for words, It was amazing, The originality of it was simply the best =P
The low notes and high notes both contrasted and Made an amzing effect, I guess opposites work well in a song :P:P:P:P:P:P
The choir, woah, very nice, East/West Rocks
Long story short, very nice, but credit me on teh name. :P

Step responds:

Pffft, OK, you're right. Thanks for the name xD.

"This is an amzing piece of work, I love it from beginning to end, not very much though :P"

Yeah...

"First of all the opening was very interesting, The shaker effect was unique and interesting and didn't make it repetetive, Although the shaker sample was quite bland IMO."

Hmm, OK then. I have loads of shakers anyway, I'm sure I'll find a good one :D.

"The piano, the pinnacle of the whole song, fabolous, amazing, spectacular, actually too good for words, It was amazing, The originality of it was simply the best =P"

These compliments make me feel warm'n'fuzzeh.

"The low notes and high notes both contrasted and Made an amzing effect, I guess opposites work well in a song :P:P:P:P:P:P"

The cool contrast was unintentional since I did this in a rush :P.

"The choir, woah, very nice, East/West Rocks"

Yeah, East/West does, but the choirs in the Silver version of EW Symphonic Orchestra aren't really too special. I think if I had to choose between the choirs of East/West Symphonic Orchestra or Magnus Choir, I'd choose Magnus Choir. Although if I had to choose between Magnus Choir and East/West Symphonic Choirs, well, that's a different story :D.

"Long story short, very nice, but credit me on teh name. :P"

Haha yeah OK, thanks for the review xD.

Very unique :)

This song is inspirational, it has that BH feel and sounds awesome, I like the name too :P
So, the melody is cool, I liked the way the background synths complimented the main melody and the way that the piano sounds awesome with the synths.
The synths were spectacular, they were very original and they varied which kept the song interesting and not just 5 and a half minutes of the same synth.\
Then enters The pan flute, which is amazing, it's in high notes but it's not annoying or ear-piercing in any way which is pretty good, actually rockin', as i would usually say :P
As I said before, the synths varied, whilst the percussion wasn't the tad bit repetetive, The kick was generic but i don't blame ya, it's hard to make a non generic kick pattern and it sounding good, but you pulled it off with the rest of the percussion, it was great how the techno-ish and trance-ish instruments fit in with the whole, 'really up hi-ghhhhh, woaaah hit a pigeon, very high feeling( in the sky i mean) and it stayed really cool.
Mentioning genres, one thing i don't understand is the Latin placement in genres, that was kinda strange, i didnt understand.
Anyway, great job, I bow down to the king of Trance and Dance :_)

It's in Latin as a technique to hide it from zero bombers. It will be moved to trance after weekly tops are chosen.

I'm glad you liked it :D

Beautiful

This is amazing, it has a certain majesty to it but it's also very Gruesome sounding in the guitar parts.
The piano was my favourite part in the whole song because it was one of the main instuments and still was quite subtle and interesting, the effects added to it were spectacular and no way is it possible to make a more beautiful melody than the piano melody in this particular song.
Guitar was amazing, it was rough and rocking and scary but at the same time it sounded mysterious and involved with the title and throughout the whole song it didn't get repetetive at all.
The drums were fantastic, I love the quiet shake at the beginning and then the snare and the other percussion come in, the only problem I have with this in particular is that in 0:38 u used a certain beat and then at 0:44 you switched to another drum beat, subtle, to rockin xD.
The other instruments were spectacular, I heard bells in a certain part i thinks.
Anywayzez, Great job once again and I hope to hear more songs from you, Gr8 job Guys!!!

Thanks for the review man! Glad you liked it :D.

"This is amazing, it has a certain majesty to it but it's also very Gruesome sounding in the guitar parts."

Yeah we kind of aimed for something like that :D.

"The piano was my favourite part in the whole song because it was one of the main instuments and still was quite subtle and interesting, the effects added to it were spectacular and no way is it possible to make a more beautiful melody than the piano melody in this particular song."

Wow, that's a lot of compliments. I invented the melody, Darklight added to it, so I suppose that melody is what happens when Darklight and I combine our melody skills >:3.
Yeah, I love it when piano's the main instrument. No wonder it's referred to as the perfect instrument :P.

"Guitar was amazing, it was rough and rocking and scary but at the same time it sounded mysterious and involved with the title and throughout the whole song it didn't get repetetive at all."

Guitar is actually three free guitar sounds layered together. Not the best of guitar samples, but it worked alright :D.

"The drums were fantastic, I love the quiet shake at the beginning and then the snare and the other percussion come in, the only problem I have with this in particular is that in 0:38 u used a certain beat and then at 0:44 you switched to another drum beat, subtle, to rockin xD."

Hehe, the drums were all me. Actually IMO they're half-assed since I did them in a few minutes, but I'm glad you liked them. I changed the drum beat at 0:44 since I didn't want to add the epic drum beat over there since it's supposed to be a little *quiet* break before the song goes to epic.

"The other instruments were spectacular, I heard bells in a certain part i thinks."

Bells are all over the place :D.

Thanks for the awesome review, as always!

You rock

You are so awesome!!! You have always been my inspirarion of all of NG, u R d best in my opinion, y do u keep rokin'?
The piano was spectacular, it really leads you to this nice place and truly shows what peace means and what it represents, and then the drums come in and interrupt the peace, making it pure fun and hectic!!!!!!
The piano in general is very good, The melodies, as always rock and the harmonizations are roflcopterawesomesauce.
The pads were very good, they were silent yet loud enough to make a statement
And then come the drums, the highlite of the entire song!
Anyway gr8 job and if i may, will u do a collab wiv me? It'd be an honor, I d like to make it a party song sorta but with your touch it wont be my usual suckishness, if ud like PM me and answer fanks.
As usual

inspiration to all Ng is a bit much, no one fuckin knows me xD

The drums can't be made from scratch

Good first try, but stick to classical =P
The snare at the least can't be made from scratch because it sounds EXACTLY like the preset dance snare in FL 8

Step responds:

Well they're all made by me. I don't mean I synthesized them, I mean I didn't use any preset loops but made the beats myself. And I didn't use any presets. Yeah I know this one sucks, but although i suck at DnB, at least I can make decent trance :D. Now what did I tell you about checking out my 2009 submissions, hm?

You cease to amaze me!

Pure genius! This track is heartwarming and as they say, 'da bomb', it's pure, amazing, mind-blowing melody is a very good one indeed. The piano you incorporate with the industrial/like song is amazing and truly out of this world.
The drums are. as always. beautiful!
This is one of your best songs yet and you will always inspire me!
When you have the chance review my song 'End of the world' Thankx

Awesome

You turned one of my favourite songs into a Masterpiece too good for words, actually it's so good, I NEED words to describe.
The intro was great and I loved the build-up and the transitions.
The effects were my absolute favourite part though, I loved all the effects ><
I lurve the Piano instead of words although if U had made it A capella in a newer version, that'd rock.
Also, the solo was brilliantacureat. (Brilliant-Spectacular-Great, WTF? =P)
Great Job Once again man
<<>>Deejay<<>>

Echo responds:

Lol tks i guess. Ur reviews are always (for want of a better word) brilliantacureat (<- i have no idea what this means but since u used it i will too :P). Anywayz tks again for ur review ;)
